The name "Trail View" tells it all -  the park serves as a narrow connector along the north-south Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail.

The Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail (white blaze) is a 19.5-mile north-south route from Cold Spring Harbor State Park to Massapequa. In an area of heavy development, this trail is a narrow belt of green space that offers sights of picturesque ponds, morainal ridges, open fields and diverse flora and fauna.

Trash on trail
Between Haypath Road and Old Bethpage Rd in Old Bethpage the pave pathway is littered with a smashed television, a milk crate filled with garbage, a broken garbage bag with garbage spilled and a smashed metal garbage can. All first appearing over the pat few days. This is a small 3/4 mile stretch. There have also been an increased amount of quad riders on path and dirt bikes on the wooded bike trails.
